Needing some assistance with a glue applicator head that is not heating?
May not be your applicator head at all.
Start with installing the head on another hose where you know the head works. If the head fails there, then you can surmise it is the head. If the head works, then you may have a hose or circuit board issue.
If the head failed, you can check the heater for continuity.
Depending on the type of melter you have, check either the thermostat or RTD Sensor.
Once you find the issue, you can replace the failed part in the gun, saving you from having to spend the big bucks on the complete head.
Keeping these small components in stock can reduce your downtime when a head fails.
